Virtual reality applications for the development of professional communication skills (VR- Apro-Comm)
Objective: To study the most optimal conditions for fostering technical communication skills in English through blended learning, using face-to-face classes and virtual environments. This project aims to analyse the implementation of technical communication courses in English that use VR to check to what extent the communication needs of engineers are met. The project focuses on the participation of students in a hybrid learning environment, face-to-face and virtual, mediated by immersion in realistic scenarios of professional communication. Therefore, the project is within the strategic line of blended learning, which integrates face-to-face and virtual learning activities to achieve a more effective use of the different formats. Thus, the project uses VR as a digital resource for virtual activities, with the aim of facilitating a more personalised, motivating and realistic learning. This combination of face-to-face and virtual activities through VR intends to adjust to the different needs of students and to optimise their learning.
