Mònica Blanco
Mònica Blanco studied Mathematics at the University of Barcelona. She has a PhD in Mathematics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Program: History of Science. She is currently an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She teaches mathematics and statistics at the Barcelona School of Agrifood and Biosystems Engineering (EEABB, UPC) and history of mathematics at the School of Mathematics (FME, UPC).
Her main topics of research are the development and circulation of calculus in eighteenth-century Europe; the courses of mathematics in the context of Spanish military education in the eighteenth-century; and the connection between history of mathematics and mathematics education.
